Design Your Own Bow Kite
Eric Wilhelm of Instructibles turned me onto what has become the industry standard kite design software - SURFPLAN which has both a free download as well as a professional version. YOU can design and create your own kitesurf kite. Check it out - fun to toy with. The free, hobbyist version download page is HERE. Contact David Aberdeen at dea@surfplan.com.au for the pro version.
If you want to take it all the way, Fred of BlogKite also knows of several factories in China where you can get your kites made....

I am so glad I found your blog! I have just been complaining how all the kites are designed for the male kiter in mind. I have just bought a 10m EH Beast - hardly a beauty, the graphics look like a beer bottle label. And to call a kite 'Beast' - a bit butch isn't it! So I am thinking of designing a pink kite and call it 'Princess' or something. Thanks for the tip!
Heidi - ive put a link up on my side bar to Girls Can Ride Too!!
